About Us
Changing the Face of Workholding!

Our technology was born in 2011 when Professor Ed De Meter of Penn State University partnered with manufacturers to solve a difficult and persistent problem; holding delicate, complex shaped or near-net shaped parts for machining without distorting them.
Professor De Meter's ideas led to a patent for bonding and debonding of a workpiece to a manufacturing fixture using a specialized gripper. These grippers are designed to hold adhesive, conduct ultraviolet (UV) light and support a workpiece and are the key feature of the Blue Photon system. Years of testing and evaluation have made low stress Adhesive Workholding® a workplace reality.
Since the inception of the Adhesive Workholding® system, research and development continues and the product family has grown.
The top notch Blue Photon team consists of design, manufacturing and quality engineers all dedicated to developing products designed to facilitate improved manufacturing processes and cost savings for our customers.
